Moose Auction winners, need a guide?

This year I am looking to guide a 2012 Moose Auction Winner!! If you have submitted your bid or plan to before the August 3rd deadline keep me in mind if you may be looking for a guide! I have spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours in 2 of the northern WMU's B and C2 and have great bulls in mind for any hunter that chooses to hire me for their Oct. Hunt. If you go to my Facebook page(link to the upper right side of this page) click on my photos link then videos, look for video clip named "Massive bull moose" this bull is WMU B Also on my Facbook page as my main pic at the top of my page is a great bull from WMU C2.

Each of these WMU's hold great moose as well as a great number of moose to choose from. These 2 mentioned bulls I want to find this year. I also guide in several other WMU's but with most auction winners choosing Northern Zones I chose to share these 2 bulls and target these areas!

I hope to hear from you and see you on the hunt!!

Moose are starting to change areas

Well it's been a couple weeks since I have updated and posted a blog so here I go. I have been busy with work and trying to move into a new house so I have not had the time to really get out there but there is good news for me, I am almost done with the move so I should have some regular weekly blogs soon.

I had a chance to go check my camera located in WMU G this past friday. As like last year at this time the temps are going up so the number of pictures is going down. With that said it's time to move the camera, so next weekend I plan to check and move to another location that will hopefully bring me some of the very nice bulls in the area. I also had to send one of my trail cameras in for repair as it stopped working. I had a cuddeback No Flash that had quit on me, so I returned it and they had sent me a new one for a small fee, I received the new camera(Cuddeback Attack IR). I will also place this camera out for its first trip. I am a Reconyx guy but will give it a chance for sure!

Here are a few pics from the last 2 weeks!

Northern NH Moose cam

Yesterday I went north to retrieve the pictures from a camera I had set up on June 2nd, I also went to one of my favorite ponds to look for a place to set a tent for this upcoming weekend. Had great weather for the trip, a little on the hot side but nice weather none the less. Started by searching for a campsite along the edge of the pond big enough and flat enough to pitch a couple tents, after rounding the entire pond we found what we were looking for, a nice little patch of heaven hidden by a few Balsam trees but right on the edge of the water, perfect for early morning moose watching! After deciding that this location was infact the spot we wanted, we packed up the canoe and headed for the truck and to my camera. Along the way we spotted a cow moose feeding on the rivers edge.

Now, the walk in towards the camera had very limited to no fresh sign, so the closer I got to the camera the less optimistic I became. I have never placed a camera in this area before but because of the beaten down trail in previous trips here I decided to place a camera. I had no idea what time of year they were using this trail but I had to find out. Once we arrived at the camera, the anticipation with what I might have on camera was killing me! so I unlocked the box, opend the camera to see that it had 765 pictures! I remember telling a buddy of mine that had come with me that its probably only 1 or 2 moose, here are a few pictures from up north, please leave some comments about why you think these moose did what they did! I will post most of the pics on my facebook page please click here to see all pics www.facebook.com/swampdonkeyadventure and be sure to "like" my page while your there!!
